Ruth Wonfor

Ruth Wonfor is a Lecturer in Animal and Equine Science at Aberystwyth University's Department of Life Sciences, where she has taught since 2017. She serves as Exam Board Chair for Life Sciences, Scheme Coordinator for MSc Livestock Science, and Link Tutor for Equine Studies at Coleg Gwent.

Her research focuses on in vitro tissue and cell culture models for cultured meat development and animal health investigations. Dr. Wonfor's publications demonstrate expertise in areas spanning reproductive immunology, parasitology, anti-inflammatory research, and sustainable livestock systems. Her work contributes to United Nations Sustainable Development Goals through innovative agricultural biotechnology.
