Ruth Supranovich

Ruth Supranovich serves as Teaching Professor of Practicum Education, Associate Dean of Community and Clinical Programs, and Chief Administrative Officer of University Clinical Services at the USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work. With over a decade of leadership since joining in 2012, she specializes in child maltreatment prevention, intervention, and recovery systems.

Her educational background includes:

• MSW from San Diego State University (1995)
• BS from University of Leeds (1985)

Supranovich's research bridges clinical practice with systemic solutions, focusing on trauma-informed care for vulnerable populations. Her expertise spans child sexual abuse prevention, neglect intervention, and social work education frameworks that integrate micro-level clinical techniques with macro-level organizational leadership.

Recent publications demonstrate her focus on translating therapeutic insights into supervisory and management contexts while addressing historical trauma in indigenous communities through culturally responsive healing models.
