Ruth Sanders serves as Associate Professor in Midwifery at the University of East Anglia's School of Health Sciences. Her innovative teaching integrates arts and humanities into midwifery education, focusing on reflective and collaborative learning methods.
Research interests encompass arts-based educational approaches, pain management techniques, emergency obstetric care, and social science applications in clinical practice. She leads the Women's Health Theme in the Lifespan Research Center and co-developed frameworks for advanced midwifery practice.
Honors include serving as Ambassador and Advisory Panel member for Cavell Nurses Trust. Current projects include a digital smoking cessation support system for pregnancy and NIHR-funded internship programs.
