Ruth Pérez Castro serves as a Lecturer at Pompeu Fabra University's Barcelona School of Management (BSM), where she concurrently holds the position of press officer. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism with a major in Political Sciences and Public Administration from UPF, and a Master’s Degree in Political and Institutional Communication from UPF-BSM.
Her research examines institutional communication through critical lenses including media representation, gender dynamics in politics, corporate sustainability messaging, and leadership protocols. With extensive field experience across print/audiovisual media and communication consulting, her work bridges academic theory with real-world crisis management and event organization.
She instructs the elective course Sustainability Communication for the Master of Science in Sustainability Management program, focusing on strategic communications planning, greenwashing prevention, AI-enhanced social media engagement, spokesperson training, and media relations within sustainability frameworks.
