Ruth Obare

Ruth Obare is a Doctoral Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology, affiliated with the AG Bode research group. Since 2022, she has led a research group funded by the Reinhart Koselleck Award, focusing on molecular mechanisms of host-microbe interactions in legumes.

Research Interests: Her work explores the molecular biology of microbial interactions with plants, particularly nitrogen-fixing root nodule symbiosis, host-microbe recognition, and symbiotic organ development.

Education: She submitted her doctoral thesis at the University of Marburg in 2023, addressing the molecular basis of symbiotic root development in legumes.
