معرفی
Rens Holmer is a Lecturer in Bioinformatics at Wageningen University. His research focuses on comparative and functional genomics, particularly in plant-microbe symbiosis and root nodule biology. He has contributed to projects exploring nitrogen-fixing symbiosis in non-legumes like Parasponia and genome sequencing of Brassicaceae species like Hirschfeldia incana.
Research Interests: Holmer specializes in genomic approaches to understand symbiotic plant-microbe interactions, root nodule development, and plant genetics. His work integrates bioinformatics to analyze genomic data from diverse plant species, including tropical trees and model organisms.
Recent Projects: He co-supervised the ongoing PhD project on hormonal regulation of plant cell activity (since 2021) and completed his PhD on nitrogen-fixing symbiosis in Parasponia (2014–2021). His collaborations involve genomic sequencing initiatives and single-cell data science challenges.
Collaborations: Active in international teams addressing challenges in single-cell data science and plant genome analysis, with contributions to key datasets like Parasponia and Hirschfeldia incana sequencing projects.
