Professor Hubbard's research primarily focuses on frailty in older adults, with particular expertise in developing and validating frailty assessment tools for clinical use. She has published extensively on the inflammatory aetiology of frailty, the challenges of measuring frailty in clinical practice, and the relationships between frailty and various factors including obesity, smoking, socioeconomic status, and exercise. Her work spans multiple clinical settings including geriatric medicine clinics, hospitals, and residential aged care facilities. Professor Hubbard is ranked number 4 in a list of frailty experts worldwide, highlighting her significant contributions to the field.
Analysis of her recent publications reveals a strong emphasis on practical applications of frailty assessment across diverse clinical contexts.
