This work forms a critical component of DUW's mission to investigate interrelationships between the biosphere, geosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere, and anthroposphere. Her group contributes to understanding environmental evolution and developing sustainable management frameworks for 21st-century planetary challenges.
As head of the Land Use Changes Research Group, Prof. Delzeit directs investigations into historical and contemporary land transformation patterns, emphasizing quantitative analysis of human-environment interactions. Her work aligns with DUW's interdisciplinary approach to environmental research, which integrates field observations, remote sensing, and modeling techniques to address urgent sustainability questions.
