Ruta Brazauskas

Ruta Brazauskas, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biostatistics at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). She specializes in survival analysis and competing risks, with a focus on bone marrow transplantation (BMT) outcomes and healthcare policy. Dr. Brazauskas has held this position since June 2008 and leads the Late Effects and Health Policy Working Committees at the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR). Her work bridges methodological advancements in biostatistics with collaborative research in oncology, cardiology, and public health.

• Education: PhD in Biostatistics (MCW, 2003), MS in Statistics (University of Texas at Dallas, 1999), BS in Applied Mathematics (Vilnius University, Lithuania, 1992).

Her research interests emphasize survival analysis methodologies and their application to clinical trials and observational studies.
