Research Interests
Professor Jame’s scholarship centers on three inter-related domains. First, he investigates the structure, performance, and managerial incentives of mutual funds and hedge funds, uncovering how organizational design and market conditions affect investor outcomes. Second, he explores financial accounting issues—particularly how accounting information is incorporated into asset prices and how disclosure practices influence capital market behavior. Third, he examines behavioral finance phenomena, analyzing how cognitive biases and investor sentiment shape trading decisions and market dynamics. Collectively, these streams aim to bridge rigorous empirical finance with practical implications for investors, managers, and regulators.
His research has appeared in premier journals such as the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Accounting and Economics, and Journal of Accounting Research, and has been featured in the Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg News.
