Runa Lazzarino

Runa Lazzarino is a Research Fellow in Migration and Health at Middlesex University's Faculty of Business and Law, Department of Law and Social Sciences. As a socio-cultural and medical anthropologist, she co-leads theory-based studies in health care and human mobility to deliver user-centered, impactful research.

Her research explores transcultural and global mental health, migrant/minority health, and advanced healthcare technologies. She specializes in critical approaches to migrant health, digital health solutions, and cultural competence in care systems.

Publications focus on migrant health exclusion, socially assistive robots in healthcare, spiritual care during health disasters, and modern slavery responses. Her work employs creative, participatory methodologies to address health inequalities and service provision challenges.
