Ruiwen Chen is a Lecturer in History at Hong Kong Ming Hua Theological College and an Adjunct Lecturer in Theology at the School of Theology, Faculty of Arts and Education, Charles Sturt University. She serves as a Researcher at the Centre for Historical Research, the Hong Kong Anglican Church Archives, contributing significantly to the documentation and analysis of Anglican history in Hong Kong.

Dr. Chen is actively involved with the Centre for Historical Research at the Hong Kong Anglican Church Archives, where she contributes to preserving and interpreting historical documents related to Anglican missionary work and church development in Hong Kong. Her collaborative work with scholars like Philip L. Wickeri has resulted in significant publications documenting Anglican history across different regions of China, including Hong Kong, Macau, and mainland territories.
