Ruiqiong Zhang serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Accountancy at Tilburg School of Economics and Management, Tilburg University, Netherlands, where she teaches Management Accounting for the International Business Administration (IBA) program from her office in room K235 of the Koopmans Building.

Research Focus: Dr. Zhang specializes in auditing systems with particular expertise in lead auditor allocation mechanisms within professional audit offices. Her work examines organizational determinants and financial consequences of client-auditor assignment decisions using large-scale empirical datasets, extending to broader applications in financial accounting standards and management control systems.
Research Project: She contributed as Researcher to the completed project "The allocation of lead auditors to clients: large-scale evidence on the determinants and consequences of allocation decisions in audit offices" (2019B03, 1/09/20–31/08/24), collaborating with Principal Investigators E. Cardinaels and S. Dekeyser alongside co-investigator A. Sofla.
