Ruijia Hu is an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Cincinnati and Wright State University, teaching courses in Physical Geography, Regional Geography, and GIS Programming. She holds a Master's in Community Planning from the University of Cincinnati (2018) and a Bachelor's in Urban Planning from Southwest University (2014).
Her research applies remote sensing and GIS to analyze habitat fragmentation and wildlife ecology, particularly focusing on pileated woodpeckers. Awards include the AAG East Lakes Best Graduate Paper (2022) and University of Cincinnati's Diversity/Interdisciplinary Research Award (2023).
