Ruifang Wang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management at Maynooth University's School of Business. Previously, she held academic positions at University College Dublin's Quinn School of Business and Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business. Her research focuses on middle managers' roles in strategic processes and organizational innovation, emphasizing ambidexterity and strategic entrepreneurship.
Education: PhD from University College Dublin (Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business), MSc in Project Management (UCD), BEng from Beijing Jiaotong University (China).
Research Interests: Managerial ambidexterity, exploration vs. exploitation dynamics, middle management perspectives, strategic entrepreneurship, and organizational innovation. Key contributions include conceptual frameworks on middle managers' strategic role flexibility and political skill influences on managerial ambidexterity.
Publications include peer-reviewed articles in Journal of Strategy and Management and Journal of Enterprising Culture, with book chapters in healthcare leadership and strategic management. Active in professional associations including Strategic Management Society and Academy of Management.
