Ruidong Chang

Associate Professor Ruidong Chang is part of the Construction Management department at the University of Adelaide's School of Architecture and Civil Engineering, within the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology. He joined in 2020 following roles as a joint research fellow at the Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore and National University of Singapore, and as an assistant professor at Bond University.

His research focuses on sustainable construction through multi-dimensional environmental monitoring and modeling using advanced technologies like BIM and digital twins. Key areas include:

• Materials-Energy-Emissions nexus analysis
• Diffusion of sustainable construction techniques (solar PV, prefabrication)
• Environmental policy and management theory applications

Recent publications emphasize digital twin applications, AI-driven sustainability solutions, and plastic waste conversion. He has contributed to projects funded by institutions like Singapore's Building Construction Authority and China's National Science Foundation. Current work explores energy equity in solar adoption and construction sector decarbonization strategies.

Prof. Chang's affiliations include being a member of the International Energy Agency's research networks and actively participates in policy discussions on circular economy implementation.
