Rui Liu is an Associate Professor at the College of Architecture and Environmental Design, Kent State University (KSU). He leads the Structural Resilience Research Group (SRRG) and specializes in resilient and sustainable urban infrastructure, green construction materials, forensic engineering, and intelligent infrastructure management. His work bridges structural design innovation with ethical and environmental considerations.
Dr. Liu holds a Professional Engineer (PE) license in California (CA C80234) and serves as an Associate Editor for the ASCE Journal of Performance of Constructed Facilities. He actively chairs the Education Committee of the ASCE Forensic Engineering Division, reflecting his commitment to advancing engineering education and professional standards.
