Rui Jorge Rodrigues da Silva

Rui Jorge Rodrigues da Silva is an Associate Professor with Habilitation in Accounting, Accounting Management, and Finance at the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD) in Portugal. He is affiliated with the Department of Accounting, Management, and Finance within the Faculty of Economics and Management. His research focuses on Accounting, Gamification in Education, University Partnerships, Strategic Management, Quality Systems, and Student Communication in Accounting and Marketing. He has conducted fieldwork at UTAD, the University of Almería (Spain), and the Polytechnic Institute of Porto.

Dr. Silva holds a PhD in Management from the University of Beira Interior. He has received multiple awards, including Best Investigation Project (2018), Best Conference Paper (2018), and Best Paper at International Forums (2019). He serves as a reviewer for Scopus and JCR-indexed journals.

His projects include Ceturium/Viseeon Portugal, Energy Transition Entrepreneurs in Action (ETEIA), and CultRural+, which aimed to enhance rural development through cultural heritage management. He collaborates with CETRAD (Centre for Transdisciplinary Development Studies), contributing to research on socio-ecological systems and sustainability.

His work emphasizes bridging academic theory with practical applications, particularly in leveraging gamification and partnerships to improve educational outcomes and strategic management practices.
