معرفی
Rudiger Woscholski is an Associate Professor in Chemical Biology at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Imperial College London. His research focuses on phosphoinositide (PI) signaling pathways, particularly the role of 3-phosphorylated inositol lipids and their effectors in cellular processes like apoptosis, glucose uptake, and proliferation. He develops biochemical tools for imaging lipid dynamics using fluorescence microscopy and collaborates with the Institute of Chemical Biology to design novel chemical research tools.
- Affiliations: Agri Futures Lab, CDT in Chemical Biology (as supervisor), Centre for Translational Nutrition and Food Research, Chemical Biology and Healthcare, Industrial Biotechnology Hub, Institute of Chemical Biology.
His work addresses biomedical questions related to Lowe syndrome, cancer, diabetes, and degenerative diseases through metabolic profiling and imaging of downstream signaling elements. Key methodologies include lipid recognition domain analysis and fatty acid sensitivity studies of phosphatases.
