Rudi Dierckx is a Professor at the University of Groningen's Faculty of Medical Sciences and chairs the Medical Imaging Center: Radiology, Nuclear Medicine & Molecular Imaging. He holds additional roles as EANM President-Elect (2021-2022) and a Professor at Ghent University. His expertise spans radiology, nuclear medicine, and medical imaging, with a focus on molecular imaging, PET, and translational research. He leads the BRIDGE (Basic and Translational Research and Imaging Methodology Development in Groningen) group and has contributed to over 600 publications.
Research interests include neuroimaging, oncological imaging, and methodological advancements in PET/MRI. Recent work explores diffusion-weighted imaging in glioma patients, portal vein complications in pediatric transplants, and radiology resident education on imaging costs. His leadership in professional societies and academic collaborations underscores his role in advancing imaging sciences.
