Rubén Altuna

Rubén Altuna is a researcher affiliated with the Displays and Photonics Applications Group at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Spain. His work focuses on photonics and optical fiber communication, particularly in integrating Power over Fiber (PoF) and Analog Radio over Fiber (ARoF) technologies for 5G/6G mobile networks. The study compares the performance of HCF, MCF, and SMF in shared transmission scenarios, showing that HCFs and MCFs maintain signal integrity while enabling efficient power delivery. This research has implications for future ultra-low-latency, high-capacity mobile networks and energy-efficient optical systems.
