Dr. Ruby Nguyen is a Lecturer at the University of Adelaide's School of Economics and Public Policy, affiliated with the Faculty of Arts, Business, Law and Economics. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Queensland (UQ), where she received the 2022 Dean’s Award for Outstanding Higher Degree by Research Theses. Her research focuses on Productivity and Efficiency Analysis, Applied Econometrics, and Development Economics, with publications in journals like the European Journal of Operational Research and Omega.
Education: PhD in Economics (University of Queensland, Australia).
Research interests include applying econometric methods to microeconomic and development challenges, with recent work emphasizing policy-relevant analyses. She collaborates with the Australian Research Council’s CEVAW and engages with gender research through the Fay Gale Centre.
Awards: Highlighted by the Dean’s Award for her thesis excellence in 2022.
Teaching: Teaches courses in econometrics, data analytics, and mathematical economics at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Previously coordinated courses at UQ including ECON7310 and ECON1008.
