Ruairi Maguire

Ruairi Maguire is a Lecturer in Political Philosophy at King's College London's Department of Philosophy within the Faculty of Arts & Humanities. He holds a DPhil in Political Theory from the University of Oxford, an MPhil in Philosophy from Trinity College Dublin, and a BA in Philosophy from the same institution.

His research examines political philosophy with focus areas including self-determination, secession theory, international ethics, philosophy of international law, and just war theory. His publications analyze contemporary issues in sovereignty and collective rights.

Maguire teaches courses in political philosophy and just war theory. His recent articles explore themes of national identity, territorial rights, and the legal frameworks for prosecuting international crimes.
