Rozita Dass is a Lecturer at the School of Education, Edith Cowan University (ECU). She holds a PhD from The University of Western Australia (2012), an MA in English Studies (Singapore, 2002), and a BA in English Language and Literature (Singapore, 1999). Her research focuses on post-colonial literature in Singaporean contexts, ESL writing pedagogy, and contemporary educational practices.
Dr. Dass’s work explores intersections between literature education and multiculturalism, particularly in Singapore’s secondary schools. She has investigated peer feedback mechanisms in ESL writing classes and the role of literature in preparing 21st-century learners. Recent research includes a poetic inquiry into teacher educators’ professional well-being in Australia.
Her publications span journal articles and book chapters, addressing topics such as multigrade teaching frameworks in the Maldives, video reflection in science pedagogy, and West African families’ experiences in Australian education systems. She supervises research in education across PhD and Master’s levels, emphasizing collaborative teacher reflection and curriculum design.
Dr. Dass is affiliated with ECU’s Partners in Literacy and Numeracy (PLaN) initiative and contributes to WA Internships programs. Her ORCID is 0000-0003-4693-0214.
