Roza Selimyan, PhD, MSc is a Teaching Professor at the Bloomberg School of Public Health within Johns Hopkins University. Her academic work bridges molecular biology, epigenetics, and RNA biology.
- PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (University of Rostock, 2004)
- MSc in Biochemistry (Yerevan State University, 1998)
Her research focuses on:
- DNA methylation and chromatin dynamics during gene assembly
- RNA-binding protein interactions and post-transcriptional regulation
- Epigenetic mechanisms in cellular senescence and aging
- Non-coding RNA functions in gene expression
- MicroRNA regulation of metabolic pathways
- Stress response pathways in ionizing radiation contexts
Her publications (2011–2013) reveal interdisciplinary expertise in epigenetics, RNA biology, and gene regulation, with recurring themes in immunoglobulin gene assembly, long noncoding RNAs, and PPARγ-mediated adipogenesis.
