Roya Choupani is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Angelo State University with secondary teaching appointments at Cankaya University.

Her research spans Multimedia Computing, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Database Systems, and Cybersecurity. She developed and taught graduate Machine Learning courses at Cankaya University and transitioned all instruction to online platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, Moodle, WhatsApp) during the COVID-19 pandemic while maintaining regular office hours in the Mathematics-Computer Science Building.
