معرفی
Roy Goodman is a Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). His research focuses on nonlinear dynamics, quantum graphs, fluid dynamics, and Bose-Einstein condensates. He has been Principal Investigator (PI) or Co-PI on multiple National Science Foundation grants, including active projects on vortex dynamics and symbolic computation.
His work spans theoretical and computational approaches to problems in applied mathematics, with notable contributions to vortex interactions, quantum graph simulations, and nonlinear wave phenomena. Goodman has published extensively in journals like SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing and Physics of Fluids, and his research has been cited over 961 times.
Recent projects include developing the QGLAB MATLAB package for quantum graph computations and studying scattering dynamics in vortex systems. He has advised multiple federal grants and contributes to computational mathematics education at NJIT.
Key collaborations include work on symbolic computation (SYMCAR project) and computational mathematics training for undergraduates. His research often bridges mathematical theory with applications in physics and engineering.
