Rossella Greco

Rossella Greco is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oulu, affiliated with the Nano and Molecular Systems Research Unit under the Faculty of Science. She holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry from ITQ (Instituto de Tecnología Química) in Valencia, Spain, and earned her Master's degree in Inorganic-Organic Chemistry from the University of Bari, Italy.

Her research spans Catalysis, Organic Chemistry, Green Chemistry, Environmental Catalysis, and Photocatalysis. At the University of Oulu, she focuses on synthesizing and activating semiconductors for hydrogen evolution reactions and water treatment applications.

Her earlier work at ITQ involved studying metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and single-atom catalysts for organic reactions like Suzuki coupling, alkylation, and oxidation processes. Current keywords associated with her research include environmental catalysis, organic chemistry, and photocatalysis.

She is based at the Linnanmaa campus in the BF 102 building.
