Dr. Ross Vanderwert is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychology at Cardiff University. His research focuses on the role of early experiences, such as parent-infant interactions and environmental factors, in promoting healthy brain development and identifying risks for psychopathology. He employs neuroimaging techniques like EEG, fNIRS, and eye-tracking to study developmental processes across infancy, childhood, and adolescence. Current projects investigate the psychological effects of pacifier use, benefits of doll play, and sensory differences in developmental coordination disorder.
