Roslynn King

Roslynn King is an incoming Assistant Professor at Colorado School of Mines, starting December 2024. She specializes in marine electromagnetic methods and their applications in earth systems research.

• PhD in Geophysics from Scripps Institution of Oceanography (University of California San Diego) and San Diego State University
• BS in Geological Engineering from Colorado School of Mines

Her research focuses on:

• Submarine groundwater systems and magmatic imaging for volcanic hazard mitigation
• Fluid dynamics in marine hydrocarbon seeps and high-resolution electromagnetic instrumentation for marine archaeology
• Geotechnical data analysis for offshore infrastructure and paleolandscape reconstruction combining scientific and indigenous knowledge
