معرفی
Roser Tolra Perez is a Researcher at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, affiliated with the Department of Animal Biology, Plant Biology and Ecology and the Fisiologia Vegetal/Plant Physiology research group. She holds a Ph.D. (2001) and a Licenciatura (1990) from UAB, with additional postgraduate training in Analytical Chemistry. Her work focuses on plant responses to environmental stressors, including heavy metal toxicity, soil carbonates, and salinity, contributing to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to environmental sustainability and innovation.
Key research interests include aluminum toxicity mechanisms, hyperaccumulation in plants, and bicarbonate tolerance in Arabidopsis. She has led or co-led multiple international projects, such as 'Salinity stress aggravated by heat in Brassicaceae' (2024-2025) and 'Se4All: Selenium-enriched Alfalfa for Dairy Products' (2021-2025). Her recent publications explore salt tolerance in Cakile maritima and bicarbonate tolerance mechanisms in Arabidopsis.
Roser has supervised 17 research works and collaborates widely in plant-microbe interactions and problem soil solutions. Her lab's work bridges fundamental plant physiology with applied biotechnological strategies for sustainable agriculture.
