Rosemary Venn

Rosemary Venn is a Research Fellow and Doctorate Student at the Centre for Agroecology, Water and Resilience. She actively contributes to European agricultural research initiatives, including her role as Research Assistant on the AGROMIX project (2020-2024), a €multi-million EU-funded initiative developing resilient land-use systems through participatory research.

Her research focuses on:

• Agroforestry policy frameworks and implementation challenges
• Sustainable food system transitions and agroecological principles
• Knowledge transfer mechanisms in agricultural policy development
• Mixed farming systems design and stakeholder engagement tools

Her recent publications (2022-2024) demonstrate consistent focus on agricultural policy analysis, with particular emphasis on European agroforestry governance, knowledge translation frameworks, and participatory design methodologies. Research frequently employs policy critique, comparative regional analysis, and tool development approaches.

She collaborates on the AGROMIX research consortium, working alongside international teams to develop practical solutions for sustainable farming transitions across Europe.
