Lilian Beck

Lilian Beck is a doctoral candidate (external) at the Institute of Social Sciences in Agriculture at the University of Hohenheim and a Research Associate with the World Agroforestry Center (ICRAF) since 2022. Her research focuses on transdisciplinary action research, participatory video production, and agroforestry dissemination through inter-organizational learning activities. She has collaborated with institutions like the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL), Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO), and International Centre for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) across Cambodia, Germany, and the African continent.

• Education: MSc in Agroecology (Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Sweden, 2015–2019); BA in Cultural Anthropology & Educational Science (Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen, Germany, 2011–2015).
• Research Interests: Center on farmer-first approaches, gender-sensitive agricultural methods, and participatory learning frameworks. Her work bridges agroecology, indigenous cultural studies, and climate-resilient farming systems.
