Rose Rossi, PhD, MBA, RN, is a Professor and Associate Dean in the School of Nursing at Widener University. Her roles include academic leadership, teaching, and research focused on narrative approaches to healthcare, nursing education innovation, and ethics. She holds a PhD in Nursing Science from Widener University (2008), an MSN from the University of Pennsylvania (1989), and a BSN from Villanova University (1985).
Her research emphasizes the Business of Nursing Education, Leadership Development, Student Success Strategies, and Genetics Ethics. She pioneered tabletop exercises for disaster preparedness training and explored the narrative impact of Huntington’s disease. Recent work includes studies on pandemic-era nursing education disruptions and faculty resilience.
Publications span topics like clinical simulation, neuro-nursing standards, and pandemic adaptation. Awards include the 2018 Faculty Advisor of the Year and grants from Sigma Theta Tau and Widener University. She co-authored a 2022 study on academic nurse administrators’ pandemic experiences, published in Nursing Education Perspectives.
Professional service includes board membership with Nurses & Neighbors Collaborative, a nonprofit improving community health through nurse-led initiatives. She has also contributed to media discussions on nursing ethics and technology in education.
