Rosalyn Floyd

Rosalyn W. Floyd is a Professor at the Pamplin College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, Department of Music. She specializes in collaborative piano performance and vocal accompaniment, with a career spanning decades of artistic contributions to music education and performance.

Her research interests focus on Music Performance, particularly collaborative piano techniques, vocal accompaniment, and symphonic performance practices. Recent performances include recitals celebrating Black History Month and tributes to notable figures in music history.

Rosalyn Floyd has been recognized with the Artist of the Year award by the Greater Augusta Arts Council (2005). Her career includes recordings with Albany Records and collaborations with internationally acclaimed singers such as Jessye Norman and Martina Arroyo.

She has served on multiple institutional committees, including the Choral/Voice Search Committee (2019), and actively participates in community outreach through roles in the Georgia Spiritual Ensemble and Omega Psi Phi Talent Hunt (2018). Her teaching portfolio includes courses in piano, music theory, and senior projects for BA in Music students.
