Rosalind Boar is an Honorary Associate Professor in the School of Environmental Sciences at the University of East Anglia. Her research focuses on the limnology and ecology of East African lakes, nutrient/carbon cycling in freshwater systems, and nitrogen dynamics in wetland plants like Phragmites and Papyrus.
Research Focus: Papyrus swamp responses to environmental change; aquatic biodiversity conservation; impacts of invasive species on lake ecosystems; soil erosion dynamics in wetlands.
Key Projects: Led scientific expeditions to Lake Naivasha (Kenya); studied wetland productivity in Tanzania; analyzed conservation status of papyrus-dwelling birds. Current roles include Deputy Director of UG Teaching and Chair of UEA Travel Committee.
