Rosalie Chen serves as a full-time Assistant Professor of Psychology within the Department of Psychology at the School of Liberal Arts and Education, Dominican University of California. A Taiwan native with extensive international experience across North Africa, East Asia, and North America, she brings a global perspective to her academic work.
Her academic credentials include:
- PhD in Social Psychology from National Taiwan University
- MA in International Affairs from George Washington University
- BS in Management from Truman State University (First Generation to College Graduate)
Dr. Chen's research program sits at the dynamic intersection of social, political, and cultural psychology. She investigates how cultural contexts shape political psychology through the lens of intergroup relations, with particular emphasis on the interplay between ideology, identity formation, and emotional drivers in political attitudes and behaviors. Her work systematically examines how these elements collectively influence political perception and contribute to intergroup conflict resolution.
She actively teaches core courses in social psychology, political psychology, and cross-cultural psychology, integrating her international background into pedagogical approaches.
