Professor Rory O'Connell is a Professor of Human Rights & Constitutional Law at Ulster University's School of Law, serving as Director of Development & Partnerships since 2023. He previously led the Transitional Justice Institute (2014-2020) and held roles in research leadership (2017-2023). His expertise spans Human Rights, Equality, Constitutional Law, and Legal Theory. He has published extensively, including books like Europe, Law and Democracy and Human Rights and Public Finance.
Education: Graduated with a Bachelor of Civil Law (First Class) from University College Dublin (UCD), followed by an LL.M. (First Class) and a PhD from the European University Institute (EUI).
