Prof. Roos Masereeuw is a Professor of Experimental Pharmacology and Vice Dean of Research at Utrecht University's Faculty of Science. She holds a PhD from Radboud University and has expertise in Pharmacology and Toxicology. Her research focuses on regenerative pharmacology, particularly kidney repair and organ-on-chip technologies. She leads projects like the Utrecht Advanced In Vitro Models Hub and has developed bioartificial kidney models. Key roles include Scientific Director of the Utrecht Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (2018–2023) and membership in the Royal Holland Society of Sciences and Humanities. Awards include the Galenus Prize (2010) and AAPS Fellowship (2015). Her work integrates renal physiology, biomaterials, and translational medicine to address kidney failure and toxicity.
