Dr Ronit Berger Hobson is a Lecturer in the School of History, Anthropology, Philosophy and Politics at Queen's University Belfast. She specializes in international security, conflict studies, and the dynamics of violent non-state actors. Her research focuses on organizational leadership, military innovation, and case studies such as the Northern Ireland Troubles and Israeli-Palestinian conflicts. She actively engages in academic activities, including organizing conferences like the 45th Annual Meeting of the International Society of Political Psychology and contributing to media discussions on geopolitical issues.
Her research interests include terrorism studies, leadership studies, and the impact of diasporas on rebel tactics. Key publications explore topics such as militant group labeling, counterterrorism strategies, and historical case studies like the Munich massacre. Dr Hobson is also the author of Transforming Conflict: The Northern Ireland ‘Troubles’ from Contention to Cooperation (2022).
Dr Hobson has participated in international conferences and collaborates with institutions on global conflict analyses. Her work contributes to understanding conflict dynamics, leadership, and the evolution of special operations forces. She is open to supervising PhD students in her research areas.
