Ronit Alexander is a Lecturer in the Hebrew Department at Northwestern University (Illinois) and a Teaching Fellow at the School of Hebrew at Middlebury College (Vermont). She also serves as an instructor at the Academy of Jewish Thought & Learning (South Africa) and teaches Hebrew at multiple schools including Harlem Hebrew Language Academy and Solomon Schechter Day School. Her expertise spans Hebrew language education at all levels, with a focus on communication and authentic materials.
Education: MA in Teaching Hebrew as a Second Language (Middlebury College); BA in Psychology and Ancient Near East & Biblical Studies (Ben Gurion University). Currently pursuing a Doctor of Modern Languages at Middlebury College.
Research focuses on language anxiety reduction and effective feedback mechanisms in language classrooms. She presents at conferences like the National Hebrew Teachers’ Conference and conducts workshops on error correction, technology tools, and curriculum development.
Proficient in six languages, she emphasizes engagement and modern pedagogical approaches in her teaching practice.
