Rongle Tan is a Ph.D. candidate and Professional Casual Academic at the Macquarie School of Education, Macquarie University. He also holds an external position as a Casual Academic at Western Sydney University starting from March 2025.
His educational background includes:
- Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (2018-2021), with thesis on 'Identity construction in news of Chinese and American university websites: A multimodal perspective'
- Bachelor of Arts in Business English from Jinan University (2014-2018), with thesis on 'A contrastive discourse analysis of Starbucks' glocalized marketing advertisement: The multimodality perspective'
