John Knox is an Honorary Senior Lecturer in the Department of Linguistics at Macquarie University. He holds a PhD from the University of Sydney and has extensive teaching experience in Applied Linguistics and TESOL. His research focuses on multimodality, mediated discourse, social semiotics, and systemic functional theory. He has supervised numerous doctoral and master’s students, contributing to academic literacy and curriculum development. Notable awards include the Faculty of Human Sciences Dean’s Award (2018).
