معرفی
Rong Chen is a Senior Lecturer and PreHealth Advisor at Washington University in St. Louis. She holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Southern California (2003) and a B.S. in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Science and Technology of China (1996). Her research focuses on polymer synthesis, spectroscopic studies of macrocyclic polymers, and their applications in materials science. She has contributed to understanding energy transfer mechanisms in fluorene-based polymers and thermal properties of functionalized macrocycles.
Dr. Chen’s publications span topics like artificial light harvesters, ground-state chromophore interactions, and novel bifunctional initiators for anionic polymerization. She received the Inaugural Teaching Innovation Award in 2024, reflecting her commitment to education. As a PreHealth Advisor, she supports students navigating healthcare-related academic pathways. Her office is located in Wrighton Hall 401D, and she can be reached via rongchen@wustl.edu.
