Dr. Roneisha Worthy is an Associate Professor and Assistant Chair in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at Kennesaw State University. She holds a tenured position and focuses on advancing sustainability, climate resilience, and diversity in engineering education. Her administrative role is complemented by active teaching and research, including collaboration with the Lemelson Foundation to institutionalize the Engineering for One Planet framework.
Research & Grants:
- Primary research areas: Climate impact mitigation, environmental engineering education, and sustainable infrastructure.
- $2.5M NSF grant to improve diversity in STEM via calculus education.
- Lemelson Foundation grants supporting curricular transformation and sustainability integration.
- Co-principal investigator on multiple NSF-funded projects addressing equity in STEM education.
Awards & Honors:
- ODI Fellow (2020-2021) and prior ODI Sustainability Fellowship (2016-2017).
- Recipient of ASEE-Lemelson Mini Grant (2022-2023).
