Ronald Wheeler is an Associate Professor of Law and Legal Research and Associate Dean for Fineman & Pappas Law Libraries at Boston University School of Law. He is affiliated with the Institute for Global Sustainability (IGS) and has taught legal research across diverse contexts, including stand-alone courses, online modules, and study abroad programs in Brazil, Austria, and China. His scholarship focuses on legal research techniques, algorithm-driven search engines, and intersections of diversity, equity, and inclusion with legal education.

- President of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL), first Black male to hold this role (2016-2017)
- Chair of AALL’s Inclusion, Diversity & Equity Awareness Special Committee (2020-2022), driving institutional reforms
He actively contributes to professional organizations, including the Law Librarians of New England (LLNE), International Association of Law Libraries (IALL), and executive boards of consortia like NELLCO and LLMC. Wheeler will introduce a new course, Critical Legal Research, in Spring 2025.
