Ronald Stewart

Ronald Stewart is Professor of Environment and Geography at University of Manitoba, specializing in extreme weather events, winter precipitation processes, and climate change impacts in cold regions.

His research examines the physics of winter storms, precipitation transitions near 0°C, and changing patterns in Arctic and mountain meteorology. Field investigations utilize radar, surface observations, and climate models to study storm structure and future climate scenarios.

As part of the Changing Cold Regions Network, he investigates hydrological and cryospheric changes across western Canada under global warming.
