Ronald Selinger

Ronald Selinger serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Language and Cultural Studies within the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. He has taught American Sign Language courses at UMSL since August 2019, offering ASL I during Fall semesters, ASL II in Spring semesters, and ASL III in Fall semesters.

His academic focus centers on American Sign Language pedagogy and Deaf cultural studies, with expertise spanning language education methodologies, linguistic structures of ASL, and cross-cultural communication. Professor Selinger emphasizes experiential learning through the "power and beauty of ASL" to foster student engagement with Deaf communities.
