Prof. Ronald Leenes is a Full Professor at Tilburg Law School and TILT, specializing in regulation by technology, privacy, and AI ethics. His research focuses on legal and ethical implications of emerging technologies like robotics and data-driven systems. He has held roles as principal investigator in EU projects such as Robolaw and A4Cloud, addressing accountability in cloud computing and AI regulation. His career spans academic leadership, including roles as associate and assistant professor at Tilburg and Twente Universities. Leenes has supervised over a dozen PhD students, contributing to fields like data protection, cybersecurity, and ethical AI. He actively engages in policy advisory roles, including memberships with SURF, SIVI, and SOONS.
