Ron Weaver is a Technical Design Director and Associate Lecturer at the University of Central Florida's Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy (FIEA). With extensive industry experience, he has worked at EA Sports Tiburon and Walt Disney Imagineering, contributing to projects like Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online and Toontown Online. His roles include game programming, design, and producing, alongside teaching and curriculum development in interactive entertainment technology.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science and Religion with a dance minor from Emory University
- Master’s degree in Entertainment Technology from Carnegie Mellon University’s Entertainment Technology Center
Ron’s research and professional interests span game design, software engineering, and interactive media development. His work extends beyond traditional gaming to include theme park attractions, museum exhibits, and multimedia projects, reflecting a multidisciplinary approach to entertainment technology.
